WELCOME
The Sparrows’ Nest creates bespoke, beautifully designed, hand sewn lined and interlined curtains, roman blinds and soft furnishings on behalf of private clients, commercial clients and interior designers. We are able to supply nationwide but production work is undertaken in a dedicated work room near Cirencester by myself, Sarah James-Sparrow.
Having spent nearly two very happy decades as a commercial pilot flying private jets around the world, I made the choice to change my career from one passion to another which after taking professional training meant a change from flying to fabric in order that I could be home more and missing less of the Sparrow chicks growing up. Whilst the two fields may seem far apart, I have found that precision and a keen eye for detail is key to my work.
I’ve always loved fabric and interiors and can obtain fabric from an extensive list of suppliers to suit all budgets from the contemporary to the most traditional of styles. Whether you’re looking for window treatments for a single room or an entire house, I’ll happily help you choose fabrics and work with you to design the style of room you’re looking for.
Starting from your initial contact via telephone or email, I will work hard to fully understand your requirements, discuss designs and provide a measuring service to help furnish you with the ideal solution to compliment your home. I work alongside professional fitters who will help fit tracks and poles, electric or manual, which I can also provide, and wherever possible, I will personally hang and dress your finished curtains.
